Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1:

June 2 - Dublin Arrival

After arriving in Dublin, meet your driver/guide and head to the heart of Ireland to explore Clonmacnoise, a scenic monastic site located on the River Shannon. Learn a bit of its history, then travel to Athlone for a stop at Sean’s Bar, said to be the oldest pub in Ireland, for a relaxed drink. Continue to Galway for a casual walking tour of the city’s highlights, like Lynch’s Castle and the medieval walls. Check into your hotel and get settled before enjoying a welcome dinner, followed by a lively evening of Irish music and dance at the Trad on the Prom show.

Day 2:

June 3 - Aran Islands & Dun Aengus

Set off on a short ferry ride from Rossaveal to Inis Mor, the largest of the three Aran Islands. These rocky islands are renowned for the hardy islanders who have maintained traditional fishing and farming practices. The Irish language is still spoken widely. Next, take a minibus ride to Dun Aengus, a massive prehistoric fortress perched on sheer cliffs that fall away to the Atlantic Ocean below. Take a look around Kilronan before heading back to your hotel in Galway. This evening, you might like to dine at one of the city’s lively dinner venues.

Day 3:

June 4 - Connemara Sightseeing

Leave Galway behind as you travel through the beautiful Connemara region, with its misty mountains, open boglands, and roaming sheep. Stop at Kylemore Abbey to explore the stunning lakeside estate, hear its fascinating stories, and stroll through the peaceful Victorian walled garden. Continue to Westport for a short walking tour of this charming, planned town with stone bridges and a lovely riverside promenade. Check into your nearby hotel and enjoy a relaxing dinner to end the day.

June 5 - Achill Island Tour

June 6 - Atlantic Sheepdogs

Today, head out to Atlantic Sheepdogs for a fun and fascinating look at farm life and to watch incredibly smart sheepdogs in action. Then, make your way to Belleek for a visit to the renowned pottery factory, where you can witness skilled artisans crafting beautiful porcelain by hand. Continue to Donegal, check into your hotel, and enjoy some free time before sitting down to dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Day 6:

June 7 - Slieve League Sea Cliffs

This morning, take a scenic trip to the stunning Slieve League Cliffs, some of the highest sea cliffs in Europe, where dramatic views stretch over the Atlantic. Enjoy a cup of tea and some freshly baked scones while soaking in the scenery. Then, head to Ardara to see traditional spinning, weaving, and knitting in action at Triona Designs. Return to Donegal for a relaxed afternoon and evening to spend as you like.

Day 7:

June 8 - Enniskillen Castle

Leave Donegal and head to Enniskillen for a visit to the historic Enniskillen Castle, perched on the River Erne. Then, take a trip to the Devenish Island Monastic Site, which includes the best-preserved round tower in Ireland. Continue through the countryside to Dublin, check into your hotel, and unwind. In the evening, enjoy dinner and lively Irish music and dancing at the Irish House Party.

June 9 - Dublin Sightseeing

After breakfast, head out with a local guide to explore Dublin's rich history and vibrant charm. Visit Dublin Castle to see the elegant State Apartments and hear stories from its days as a center of power. Then, tour the Guinness Storehouse to learn how Ireland's most famous stout is made, ending with a pint and panoramic views from the rooftop bar. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy the city however you like, whether that's that's sightseeing, shopping, or relaxing with a good meal.
