Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1:

September 2: Dublin Arrival

After landing at Dublin Airport, join your group in the Arrivals Hall to meet your driver guide and get on the coach to head west. Head through the midlands, passing farms and market towns. Continue through Moate, Athlone, and Ballinasloe to Galway. Upon arrival, join local guide Brian Nolan and Michael for a walking tour. Brian and Michael will show you the medieval city walls, Lynch’s Castle, and narrow streets of Galway. Check into your hotel, settle in, and enjoy a welcome dinner with your group.

Day 2:

September 3: Connemara Sightseeing

Today, travel through the Connemara Region, admiring boglands, misty mountains, and grazing sheep. Visit Kylemore Abbey to tour the mansion, church, and Victorian walled garden. Continue to Leenane for a short catamaran cruise on Killary Harbour, Ireland's only fjord, with onboard commentary. Return to your Galway hotel for an evening at leisure.

Day 3:

September 4: Achill Island & Deserted Village

This morning, Michael will say goodbye as you journey along Curraun Peninsula to Achill Island. Enjoy stunning views of steep mountains meeting the Atlantic as you travel along the Wild Atlantic Way Drive. Stop at the deserted village for a glimpse of Achill's history. Enjoy lunch at the Beehive Craft and Coffee Shop. Then, travel to Westport, check into your hotel, and have some free time before dinner with your fellow travelers in the hotel restaurant.

Day 4:

September 5: Westport Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a walking tour of Westport, a charming planned town designed by James Wyatt in 1780. Highlights include the picturesque promenade (the Mall) and quaint stone bridges along the River Carrowbeg. Visit Westport House, an 18th-century mansion boasting splendid views of Clew Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, adorned with priceless furnishings, paintings, books, and silver. Return to your nearby hotel for the rest of the day to explore and dine at your leisure. Tonight, you might want to explore a nearby pub owned by Matt Molloy, a member of the Grammy-winning band, The Chieftains.

Day 5:

September 6: Westport to Enniskillen

Leaving Westport, visit The Shed Distillery for a tour and tasting of Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin. Then, journey to the renowned Devenish Island Monastic Site, featuring Ireland's best-preserved round tower, ancient ruins, graveyards, and high crosses. Continue to Enniskillen, check into your hotel, and enjoy dinner with your group in the hotel restaurant.

Day 6:

September 7: Slieve League Sea Cliffs

Today, explore the Slieve League Sea Cliffs, the highest in Europe at 1,972 feet, offering breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy tea and freshly baked scones with your group. Then, visit Donegal Castle in Donegal town, featuring a gabled tower from the 15th century. Return to your hotel in Enniskillen for a free evening, followed by a VIP concert with your group after dinner.

Day 7:

September 8: Trim Castle

Departing Enniskillen, journey to Trim to explore Trim Castle, a significant 12th-century Anglo-Norman fortress on the River Boyne. All too soon, your vacation has come to its final day. Transfer to Dublin Airport in good time to check-in for your flight. You may do some last minute shopping at the duty free stores before boarding your flight back to the United States.
