Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1:

Welcome to Iceland

After arriving at Keflavik International Airport, use the convenient FlyBus to transfer to Reykjavik and check into your 3-star hotel in the city center for your 6-night stay. Spend the rest of the day exploring Reykjavik! Enjoy some of the many great cafés and restaurants (do not miss the famous hot dog stand), see the sights, shop or just relax. You can even relax like the locals do at one of many geothermal swimming pools in Reykjavik.

Day 2:

FlyOver Iceland and Northern Lights Hunt

After breakfast, head out to see more of Reykjavik. As part of your day, visit FlyOver Iceland. This immersive presentation utilizes state-of-the-art technology to give you the feeling of flight. You will hang suspended, feet dangling, before a 20-metre spherical screen while our film whisks you away on an exhilarating journey across Iceland. Special effects, including wind, mist and scents, combine with the ride’s motion to create an unforgettable experience. Tonight, see the elusive Northern Lights! The dancing aurora borealis, or northern lights, are truly one of the unique wonders of the world. Iceland is a leading northern lights destination perfectly situated at the edge of the arctic circle, perfect for spotting the Northern Lights. During the tour warming hot chocolate and special Icelandic treats will be provided to complement your evening experience.

Day 3:

The Golden Circle

Today you will explore the Golden Circle, a combination of three sites of special significance in the west of Iceland. These sites are, Þingvellir National Park, Geysir geothermal area, and Gullfoss waterfall. You will also visit Kerid crater lake and the fabulous Fridheimar Farm, where our guests enjoy a guided visit to the farm's stables and greenhouses. Fridheimar has rightfully gained a reputation for their outstanding greenhouse culture, quality horses and warm welcoming. While visiting all of these points of interest, you will be given highlights of Icelandic history and nature, all in one magnificent route through the Icelandic countryside.

Day 4:

The South Shore

After breakfast, embark on a tour of the South Shore. Iceland is known as the country of contrast, the “land of fire and ice”. The South Coast of Iceland hosts extremely varied natural phenomenons where contrasts in elements, weather, and colors do not go unseen. Along the scenic Ring Road we head towards Eyjafjallajökull volcano and fill our senses with nature of stunning beauty and elements of such great scale. From green mountains, spectacular sea cliffs, waterfalls and glaciers to black sand beaches and unique coastal features - the South Coast of Iceland has it all! In this small group tour, you discover Iceland's south coasts highlights: Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls, Reynisfjara black beach, Vík village, Reynisdrangar petrified trolls, and the fascinating glacial landscape at Sólheimajökull glacier.

Day 5:

Snæfellsnes Peninsula

The Snæfellsnes peninsula is an area that is incredibly rich in its natural sights, its culture, and its history. The peninsula is often known as “Iceland in miniature”, due to the fact that a majority of the highlights that people come to Iceland for can all be found here in this peninsula. It has a glacier, a volcano, a number of mountains, lava caves, fishing villages, a national park, and black sand beaches - all of which rival the beauty of similar areas in other parts of Iceland. Berserkjahraun lava fields, Mt. Kirkjufelland Kirkjufell waterfalls, Djúpalónssandur black basalt beach, Lóndrangar pinnacles, Snæfellsjökull glacier and Arnarstapi Harbor are amongst the places of interest you will enjoy on the tour.

Day 6:

Reykanes Peninsula

Included in the UNESCO Global Geopark, Reykjanes is truly a gem. This crucible of geothermal energy, seismic activity, and tectonic movements is hidden in plain sight. Features of the tour include the Kleifarvatn and Graenavatn lakes, Gunnuhver (a geothermal area of mud pools with a ghost story embedded in its past), the fishing town of Grindavík, the Brimketill lava cliffs, the cliffs of Valahnukar, and Reykjanesviti, Iceland’s oldest and most popular lighthouse. The highlight of the day is walking between the two continental plates by crossing over the famous “bridge between the continents”.

Day 7:

Until Next Time

After breakfast, enjoy your remaining time in Reykjavik before taking the FlyBus back to the airport for your early-evening flight home. Safe travels!
