Combine three days in the cosmopolitan city of Lisbon and five days of sunshine and beaches on the island of Sao Vicente, Cabo Verde. In Portugal, you will enjoy a city tour of Lisbon, plus a day trip to Sintra and Cascais. Then in Cabo Verde, you will enjoy a tour of Sao Vicente Island, plus a day trip to the island of Santo Antão.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1:

Welcome to Lisbon

Upon arrival in Lisbon, you will meet your driver and head to your boutique hotel in Lisbon. The rest of the day is yours to start exploring this historic and cosmopolitan city.

Day 2:

Lisbon City Tour

Spend your day exploring Lisbon using your Yellow Bus passes. These passes allow you access to the hop-on-hop-off bus, the local trams, and the water taxi. For an amazing view of the city, take the tram to the Alfama hilltop and then walk up to Castelo de São Jorge. Or head out to Bélem by taking the water taxi from the waterfront. Here, you can visit the Tower of Belém, the Discoveries Monument, Jerónimos Monastery, and other popular tourist attractions.

Day 3:

Sintra and Cascais

Explore the romantic palaces, lush forests and gardens of Sintra on this must-do scenic day trip from Lisbon. Drive along the Atlantic Coast to Cabo da Roca, marvel at the breathtaking beaches of Cascais, and follow in the footsteps of poets, exiled kings, and more.

Day 4:

Welcome to Sao Vicente

After a quick inter-island flight, you will arrive on the island of Sao Vicente. Your driver will transfer you into Mindelo, where you will spend the next 4 nights. Spend the rest of your day exploring this vibrant city.

Day 5:

Tour of Sao Vicente Island

Set out on a full day tour of Sao Vicente, including historical points in Mindelo and amazing lunar landscapes, beautiful beaches, and quaint fishing villages.

Day 6:

Day Trip to Santo Antão

Take a ferry from Sao Vicente over to the island of Santo Antão, known for its green, mountainous landscapes. Spend the day touring the island, stopping in small villages and places where nature has been untouched.

Day 7:

Free Day

Your last full day in Cabo Verde is yours to enjoy as you see fit. Spend the day exploring the streets of Mindelo or head to the beach for some more sun!

Day 8:

Until Next Time

After breakfast, take one last walk on the beach or relax by the pool before your transfer back to the airport for your flight home.
