Idiota Casa Portuense

Why we like it: We love the relaxed, warm vibe here, along with the personable waitstaff and the incredible food. Don’t leave without trying the naughty rice and the stuffed mushrooms!
Muu Steakhouse

Why we like it: Muu is a top-notch steakhouse with a warm, welcoming staff who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home. Be sure to call ahead, as they do book up.
Dama Pe de Cabra
Address: Passeio de São Lázaro 5, 4000-507 Porto
Why we like it: This is a family-run cafe whose owners exude passion for what they do. If you are seeking traditional Portuguese dishes with a home-cooked authenticity, then this is a great choice for breakfast or lunch (only open for dinner on Friday and Saturday, closed on Sunday and Monday). Note: this establishment is cash-only.
Taberna dos Mercadores

Why we like it: A small, intimate restaurant, Taberna dos Mercadores offers amazing Portuguese food in a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the portions are quite generous. Given the small size of the dining room, reservations are strongly recommended.
Praia da Luz

Why we like it: This beach side restaurant is the perfect location for watching a sunset. Located in the Foz do Douro, a trendy district of Porto where the ocean and river meet. This neighborhood is about a 25-minute taxi ride to the west and you will find long promenades with palm trees and the Farol Molhe do Douro lighthouse, along with a number of cute cafes and restaurants
