Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1:

Gran Canaria

With its variety of landscapes, climates, and attractions, Gran Canaria is sometimes referred to as a “Miniature Continent”. The south features sunny resort communities, the bird sanctuary of Palmisos Park, and Maspalomas (renowned for its beaches, sand dunes, and lighthouse), while the east has the fishing village of Puerto de Mogan, otherwise known as “Little Venice” due to its many canals.

Day 2:

Tenerife

A notoriously festive destination, Tenerife is the biggest, most well-known of Spain’s Canary Islands, and is characterized by a rugged coastline and miles of beaches, popular for kite surfing and swimming.

Day 3:

Tenerife

Spend a second day soaking up the sun in Tenerife.

Day 4:

La Gomera

Just off the coast of Tenerife, La Gomera is an island of hidden beauty and home to Garajonay National Park and the ancient rain forest, small and tranquil villages, and the fascinating whistling language that is found only on this island.

Day 5:

El Hierro

A variable array of stunning landscapes and forested trails await on El Hierro. The smallest of the seven Canary Islands, its diverse sea-to-mountain topography and UNESCO Biosphere Reserve designation make it the ideal spot to immerse yourself in nature’s splendor.

Day 6:

La Palma

The aptly nicknamed “pretty island”, La Palma is one of Spain's Canary Islands, with incredible natural sites like Caldera del Taburiente National Park, Caldera de Taburiente and El Roque de los Muchachos.

Day 7:

Madeira

Madeira has its share of captivating squares, picturesque villages, idyllic landscapes, and stunning views. It also offers some unexpected pleasures, like it's wildly different parks and gardens. Take a cable car up to Monte so that you may descend by toboggan sledge. Originally a form of fast transport for Monte residents, the trip involves sliding at high speed over narrow, winding streets.

Day 8:

Madeira

Spend a second day exploring Madeira.

Day 9:

At Sea

Spend the day sailing in style aboard your boutique hotel at sea. Indulge in a spa treatment, stay ship-shape with a class in the fitness center, or lounge the day away on the sunny pool deck.
